West Brom went to Hull at the weekend and ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Jake Livermore's ferocious effort from the edge of the area against his former club after a short-corner routine before the half-hour mark.
Aside from the goal, the 29-year-old's all-round game was impressive, with great defensive nous and endless energy, always being in the right place at the right time - arguably the only negative point was the booking which will see him miss the next match after the international break.
Two West Brom players - , goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and defender Kyle Bartley - and manager Slaven Bilic made the official Championship Team of the Week, and while the two players were very impressive, some of The Hawthorns faithful wondered how Livermore failed to make the cut.
Here is some of the reaction on social media, with the Baggies retweeting the news on their Twitter channel:
How is Livermore not in that side?— Kevin Atton (@kevatton) 11 November 2019
There should be an honourable mention for Livermore's strike alone.— Robert Scott (@Randaminization) 11 November 2019
No Livermore? Criminal! He was the best player on the park. #wba— Andy Leeman (@AndyLeeman91) 11 November 2019

Livermore had to be included ⚪— د أسماء هيكل (@AsmaaHekail) 11 November 2019
Johnstone had a pretty quiet afternoon on Saturday in goal. Livermore WBAs best player on the day.— Dave Neale (@baggiedave70) 11 November 2019
Up next for the Baggies, after the international break comes to an end, is the Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns.
