According to The Sun, Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta believes that the club won't stand in his way if Arsenal come calling in the near future.
Arsenal are in dismal form right now, as Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Leicester City means it's now just two wins in the last 10 Premier League games for Unai Emery.
Emery is under huge pressure from Arsenal fans, and really needs to turn around the results if he's to keep his job moving into 2020.
Fans are already wondering who could replace him if Emery does lose his job, and fellow Spaniard Arteta allegedly features prominently on the club's wish list.
It's noted that Arteta thinks City would let him go if Arsenal come calling to bring him back, as they wouldn't stand in his way from landing his first managerial job after more than years as a coach under Pep Guardiola.
Arteta, 37, has helped Guardiola win two Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, and is set to be a man in demand when he does decide to leave and forge his own managerial career.
As an Arsenal favourite from his playing days with 16 goals in 149 games, Arteta could be a popular appointment for Arsenal – but it all depends on whether Emery is actually relieved of his duties or not.
