Rangers clinched a 2-0 win at Livingston on Sunday.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Rangers TV that he wants to see Borna Barisic continue his great form when he returns from the international break.
The Gers travelled to take on Livingston on Sunday afternoon, and claimed a comfortable 2-0 win to keep pace with Celtic at the top of the table.
Scott Arfield teed up Joe Aribo to fire home a first half opener, before Alfredo Morelos squeezed home a second after the break, continuing his sensational form.
Rangers head into the international break with yet another win, meaning they’ve dropped just two points in the last eight league games.
After the final whistle, boss Gerrard praised the performance of left back Barisic, having played a superb ball down the left channel for Morelos to score.
Gerrard did though challenge Barisic to come back from the international break in similar form, seemingly a little worried that heading off with Croatia will halt his momentum.
“I thought the back four were magnificent. Borna; he’s in some place,” said Gerrard. “He needs to continue and come back in that place,” he added.
Barisic is once again in the Croatia squad, and look set to start in games against both Slovakia and Georgia, which will hopefully keep him in good form and fitness.
The 27-year-old has been superb this season after a difficult first year at Ibrox, and Gerrard will hope the left back answers his challenge well over the coming weeks.
