Leeds United supporters have admitted on Twitter that they do agree with Tony Mowbray that the officials over the weekend weren't at their best at Elland Road.
Blackburn Rovers suffered a 2-1 defeat against automatic chasers Leeds, with striker Patrick Bamford ending his goal drought by opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
There's no doubt that Leeds were the better team on the day, but Mowbray was left unimpressed with the performance of the officials as he thinks that it didn't help Blackburn's cause.
Certain sections of Leeds fans admitted that Mowbray is right in what he is saying and that the refereeing was a little generous towards them.
But others did point out that Leeds haven't had the rub of the green when it has come to officiating this season, as they pointed towards that penalty against Milwall.
Added with that, some thought that managers cannot be hypocrites in accepting soft decisions that go for them and then moaning about those that go against them.
In terms of quality, there's no doubt that Leeds were streets ahead of Mowbray's side, who conceded five minutes after Bamford had put them ahead when Jack Harrison continued his good form in front of goal.
That result meant that Mowbray's side are sitting in the bottom half of the Championship table, whilst Leeds are marching on and are level on points with second-placed Preston North End.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to Mowbray's critical comments about the officials from the weekend:
He's spot on about the Referee, But he cannot be a hypocrite like most manager's are they're happy to take a Dubious penalty when it goes in there favour.— Samuel (@Kaden98329883) November 9, 2019
When you look at who's up there & their performances against us....Yep, poor standard. If only we'd scored a few more we'd be 9 points plus clear. Ah well...! #lufc— Ian Dowson (@northnthat) November 9, 2019
The officials was very generous in our favour yesterday, but because of how consistently bad the officials are - it’s about time it went our way for once. #lufc— Jake Smith (@lufc_jake7) November 10, 2019
I thought that was a fair assessment from Mowbray, it was a soft penalty and first 30 mins Leeds were far from convincing. Every time they got a corner I felt pretty nervous sat in the stand expecting to concede.— York White (@WinnersOnTrack) November 9, 2019
He’s right. The officials in this league are abysmal.— JB LUFC (@QuizFooty) November 9, 2019
He have a point, but we're usually on the receiving end of this...— Erling Fjelly (@Bokzman) November 9, 2019
