Dejan Kulusevski shone as Parma beat Roma in Serie A but Premier League duo Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers want to nab him.
No wonder Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa is dreading the January transfer window.
Because, in Dejan Kulusevski, he has one of the rising stars of European football at his fingertips. Unfortunately, the Atalanta loanee has plenty of admirers outside of the Estadio Ennio Tardini.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to make a £13 million January bid for a playmaker valued at closer to £21.5 million. Arsenal are keen too with the so-called ‘new Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’ earning rave reviews in Serie A.
And he saved arguably his finest performance of the season so far for Sunday afternoon when Roma came to town and lost 2-0 to the Gialloblu.
Kulusevski might not have added to his five assists and two goals in Parma colours but, with his trademark rangy stride and wonderful footwork, ran the game against a Roma side containing the creative talents of Javier Pastore, Nicolo Zaniolo and Cengiz Under.

Kulusevski has been sensational for Parma all season, he put in a masterclass against Roma today— David Amoyal (@DavidAmoyal) November 10, 2019
Atalanta owns him and there’s already buzz on some big clubs trying to sign him in January
Kulusevski is a top player in the making. Main man at a Parma side that’s playing very good football right now.— TBG (@PhilosophyTBG) November 10, 2019
Kulusevski’s evolution has been great to watch. Top club level player.— SENSIbletransfers (@TheDDAway) November 10, 2019
The talent and maturity of Dejan #Kulusevski at the age of 19 is not something you see very often in Serie A. Most certainly a star in the making. The top clubs in Italy would be wise to invest in this kid.— VoiceOfCalcio (@VoiceOfCalcio) November 10, 2019
After 12 games, #Kulusevski has played 31 key passes, averaging 2.6 a game. 2nd best in the Top 5 leagues after Kevin De Bruyne (32). Genius.— VoiceOfCalcio (@VoiceOfCalcio) November 10, 2019
Dejan Kulusevski is a real, top quality player. He plays with such class and maturity.— GlazersOut ® (@WarriorVidic15) November 10, 2019

“I don’t even want to think that in January we could lose him,” said D’Aversa after the game, in quotes reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Unfortunately for him, Kulusevski’s future rests in Atalanta’s hands.
And Parma will be powerless to prevent him from taking his unique brand of playmaking elsewhere should Atalanta receive an offer they simply cannot refuse. Given how much Arsenal are struggling in the final third right now, with just two goals from open play in their last eight games, don’t be surprised if Kulusevski rides into North London to save Unai Emery’s season.
