Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Sol Campbell has suffered a hint of indignity this afternoon.

Campbell, who was on Spurs' books for 12 years before joining North London rivals Arsenal in 2001, was appointed as Southend United boss in October but it isn't going to plan.

The legendary centre-back lost his first three League One games in charge of the club but it was hoped that an FA Cup visit to Dover Athletic would grant him a first win.

Except it didn't.

Campbell, a villainous figure among Tottenham fans, watched on as his troops lost 1-0 away to the non-league outfit this afternoon.

It didn't go to plan at all and here's how Tottenham supporters reacted to the humiliating defeat:

Joining Arsenal and then winning a Premier League and FA Cup double in his first meant that he would forever remain a hate figure on the white side of North London.
