Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton is reportedly on Burnley’s radar.

According to The Scottish Sun, Burnley are interested in signing Nir Bitton from Celtic in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that the Premier League club are lining up a £1 million bid to secure the services of the 28-year-old defensive midfielder.

The report has claimed that the Israel international, who can also operate as a central defender, is out of contract at Celtic at the end of the season, and that manager Neil Lennon is keen on keeping him at the club beyond next summer.

Big decision to make

Nir Bitton told Celtic View (Volume 55, Issue 16, Page 13) that he wants to be at Celtic beyond the summer of 2020 (click here to read more), but Burnley are an established club in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old is very likely to earn more money at the Clarets as well, and perhaps if he does well for Sean Dyche’s side, then he could even earn a move to a bigger club in the English top flight.
