Leeds United are reportedly looking at the Chelsea full-back.

Leeds United might have a bit of trouble luring Chelsea’s Reece James to Elland Road in a few months.

The Sun reported in October that Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa was a fan of the right-back and that United could be among the clubs interested in signing James on loan during the January window.

But if recent performances are anything to go by, Leeds have no chance.

That’s because the 19-year-old had a very challenging full debut in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, but he came through it with flying colours.

James was charged with the task of keeping Wilfried Zaha quiet and the young defender had him in his pocket for virtually the full game at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds boss Bielsa won’t have been watching by virtue of the fact that his side were gearing up for a game against Blackburn Rovers, which they won 2-1.

But if the Argentine is monitoring the situation in West London then he’ll know that he has very little chance of luring him to Yorkshire.

The truth is, Blues boss Frank Lampard won’t be letting him go anytime soon.
