Tammy Abraham and Harry Kane are important players for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Gary Lineker has suggested on Twitter that Chelsea star Tammy Abraham is providing stiff competition to Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane for a spot in the England starting lineup.

The former Tottenham and England international striker made the comments during Chelsea’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in London on Saturday.

The 22-year-old striker scored the opening goal of the match in the 52nd minute, as Frank Lampard’s side won 2-0.

According to WhoScored, Abraham has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in the process.

As for Kane, the Tottenham star is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current England set-up.

The 26-year-old has scored six goals and provided one assist in 11 league matches for Spurs so far this season, while during the 2018-19 campaign, the striker scored 17 goals and provided four assists, according to WhoScored.
