Reece James, reportedly wanted by Leeds United and Newcastle United, played well for Chelsea against Crystal Palace.
Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Leeds United and Newcastle United-linked Reece James against Crystal Palace.
James was in action for Chelsea in their Premier League game against Palace at Stamford Bridge in London on Saturday.
The 19-year-old full-back had a very good match, as he kept Palace winger Wilfried Zaha quiet and was very encouraging overall.
According to WhoScored, the teenager had a pass accuracy of 85%, took 74 touches, attempted three dribbles, and made two tackles, three interceptions and one clearance.
According to a recent report in The Sun, Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce wants to sign James on a loan deal in the January transfer window.
The report in the British tabloid has also claimed that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa admires James, who was on loan at Wigan Athletic last season.
The full-back is a very talented player who can only get better in the coming months and years.
Chelsea fans were impressed with James against Palace, as shown in the following posts on Twitter.
Chelsea 2-0 Crystal Palace. Could not fault a single performance today! Reece James had Zaha in has back pocket, Abraham still scoring, Pulisic up to 5 goals already and Kovacic was fantastic in midfield. What a full Prem debut for Reece James. Absolutely pocketed Zaha and was popping up all over the place to influence the game. Will cement himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet sooner rather than later.#CFC #Chelsea #CHECRY pic.twitter.com/ayi5X7wrpe— M-RY (@M_RY_7) November 9, 2019
