West Bromwich Albion have taken to Twitter to show off Nick Clayton-Phillips' goal in Friday's 1-0 win in the Premier League Cup, which went down very well with the Baggies faithful.
The Baggies Under-23s went into the fixture away at their Newcastle counterparts with three Premier League Cup group points to their name after running out 2-0 winners at Scunthorpe in their first PL Cup game, and now sit top of the group with six points.
West Brom's goal came not long before the interval and Chris Willock was the main man in the passage of play, combining with several teammates to carve through the Magpies defence before setting up the unmarked Clayton-Phillips, who coolly slotted home from close range.
Here is the club footage of the goal and some reaction from The Hawthorns faithful on social media:

West Brom U23s are also doing well in the Premier League 2 second division, currently sitting fifth in the table on 16 points from nine games.
The seniors, meanwhile, head to Hull in the Championship hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table.
