Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds held onto the Brian Clough Trophy after the Rams of Phillip Cocu were beaten at the City Ground today.

Nottingham Forest ace Matty Cash has taken to Twitter with a cheeky message celebrating the Reds’ latest victory over Derby County and poking fun at the Rams.

The City Ground side made it three wins in a row against their beleaguered rivals and once again got their hands on the Brian Clough Trophy following a solid display and a winning goal handed to them on a plate.

Cash put in a class display at right-back for Sabri Lamouchi’s side in which he was defensively sound and also got forward plenty of times – more than can be said about opposite number Jayden Bogle, whose blunder proved catastrophic for the Pride Park side.

Derby sought to play out from the back as the ball was worked to Bogle, who lofted the ball towards the centre, where Lewis Grabban was on hand to connect with a clinical effort into the bottom-left corner for the only goal of the game.

Forest have now held the Brian Clough Trophy since February, beating the Rams 1-0 in the league, before the 3-0 League Cup hammering and now this latest 1-0 triumph, and Cash couldn’t help but troll his side’s rivals on social media:

Tendayi Darikwa approved of his message:

As did plenty of Reds fans:

Forest are now unbeaten in five against Derby and have not conceded once against the Rams during this run (11v11).
