Kevin De Bruyne has admitted to Sky Sports that he loves Anfield and the passion drummed up by Liverpool fans for the big occasion.
Victory for Liverpool would send them nine points above the reigning champions, though a win for the Sky Blues - who have superior goal difference - would reduce the gap to only three points.
It's a contest where Liverpool fans will hope to be their side's 12th man, as they were back in May when the Reds beat Barcelona 4-0 to move into the final of the Champions League.
And although the Belgian maestro is expecting a partisan crowd, De Bruyne suggests that he can thrive on it.
He told Sky Sports: "If you are somebody who wants to compete for titles and win, these are the games you want to play.
"I like Anfield, I like it a lot. I love people being on you, being noisy, that is what it's all about. I love the passion of football."
It's such a big game and three points would go a long, long way to helping Liverpool to the Premier League title.
This is a team that hasn't lost in 10 months, and Guardiola's side would require them to drop nine points from now until May if they want a third title on the spin.
