Is Luke Ayling set to miss Leeds United's game at the weekend with illness?

Luke Ayling of Leeds United celebrates scoring his sides second goal to make the score 2-2 during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Millwall at Elland Road on March...

Leeds United defender Luke Ayling was not feeling great yesterday.

Luke Ayling’s girlfriend may just have put the defender’s availability for Leeds United at the weekend in doubt, after her latest Instagram post.

Ayling was widely expected to start for Leeds on Saturday, when Marcelo Bielsa’s side take on Blackburn Rovers.

However, it seems that Ayling is currently suffering with illness, and he was having to be looked after in bed yesterday.

Whether Ayling will be able to shake the illness off in time to feature for Leeds at the weekend remains to be seen.

His absence would be a blow to Bielsa’s side, as he has been a key part of their starting line-up in recent weeks.

Ayling has worn the captain’s armband for Leeds a lot recently, with Liam Cooper sidelined with injury.

If Ayling does miss out tomorrow it will cause Bielsa to have to reshuffle his defence.

A Leeds victory over Blackburn could take them to the top of the Championship table, if other results were to go in their favour.
