Nigeria's 'little Messi' is reportedly a target for Leicester City, but the La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 champions allegedly want him too.

Leicester City are interested in bringing Nigeria’s ‘Little Messi’, Akinkumni Amoo, to the Premier League in January.

But, with AllNigeriaSoccer claiming that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, it’s fair to say the Foxes have one hell of a challenge on their hands.

Amoo is not the first fleet-footed winger to be labelled the next coming of Lionel Messi and only time will tell whether the teenager can fulfil his massive potential and succeed where the likes of Gai Assulin, Ryan Gauld and Alen Halilovic, who all burst onto the scene while being compared to Barcelona’s number ten, failed.

Then again, suggestions that some of the biggest clubs in world football are lining up to sign Amoo in the new year speaks volumes about his quality.

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Valencia and Ajax are all apparently interested, not to mention Premier League powerhouses Arsenal and Manchester City.

But Amoo, who has shone at the U17 World Cup in Brazil, should give serious consideration to choosing Leicester instead if he wants to play first-team football at the earliest possible opportunity.

In Brendan Rodgers, the Foxes have a coach who gave Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Moussa Dembele and co a chance when they were still in their teenage years while the likes of Youri Tielemans, Ben Chilwell, Caglar Soyuncu and James Maddison have made huge strides since he took over at the King Power in February.
