Chelsea fans call for Antonio Rudiger to be sold after update

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is set to be out until the end of the month, after suffering a set-back from injury.

Some Chelsea fans want Antonio Rudiger gone, after the centre-back suffered another set-back on his comeback from injury.

The Daily Express claim that Rudiger has had to have surgery, which will keep him out action until the end of the month.

 

Chelsea had wished to have Rudiger back in their team this weekend, but those hopes were crushed by the latest set-back.

Rudiger has still not been able to play since Frank Lampard took charge, with injuries plaguing the 26-year-old.

And there are some Chelsea fans who think that the time has come for Rudiger to be moved on.

Lampard has only spoken highly of Rudiger, but there must be frustration that the German international still isn’t available.

Lampard, at least, can rest assured that he has some other good options at centre-back to call upon.

Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori have both impressed at the heart of Chelsea’s defence in recent weeks, and their partnership looks set to continue with Rudiger sidelined.

Chelsea’s next match comes tomorrow, when they take on Crystal Palace.
