Explained is back on Netflix for a second season but which famous voices can we hear narrating this season’s episodes?
Despite the vast majority of its content arriving in the form of big-budget drama series, Netflix knows that to keep viewers hooked, it has to offer more.
As a result, in the past few years, we’ve seen a sharp increase in the number of shows that break the pattern that Netflix had been at risk of falling into.
One such show is the documentary series Explained which recently returned for a second season.
What is Explained?
Explained is a docu-series made in collaboration with Vox. It takes audiences through various events, entities and phenomena that either affects humanity today or could do so in the years to come.
We’ve seen everything from the future of meat, tattoos, cryptocurrency and even cricket explained during the series and to keep the show fresh for each episode, a new celebrity voice guides us through the topic of the episode.
Topics covered in season 2
After a surprisingly popular first season, that delved into everything from monogamy and the racial wealth gap to weed and extraterrestrial life, season 2 brings 10 new topics under the microscope.
In season 2, Explained examines cults, billionaires, animal intelligence, athleisure, coding, pirates, the next pandemic, the future of meat, beauty and diamonds.
