Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane may well be fit enough to start this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has told the Daily Star that he has been warned that his side will come up against a hostile atmosphere this evening when they take on Red Star Belgrade.

Tottenham crushed Red Star when the two sides last met, but they will face an entirely different challenge tonight.

Spurs are expected to be given a intimidating reception in Serbia, and they could be challenged by the hosts.

Indeed, Kane has been told by others, who have played against Red Star, that Tottenham need to be prepared for an loud atmosphere this evening.

“I’ve been told by a few people who have played there and been there that it will be a real hostile game, a real hostile atmosphere against us but that’s what European nights are about,” Kane said.

“That atmosphere makes you grind out results and makes you determined to come home with the three points, so I’m looking forward to it. I know the players are looking forward to it.”

With Spurs out of sorts and seemingly low on confidence, a trip to Belgrade may not have come at the best time for them.

However, Tottenham really need the three points this evening, as they look to progress from their group.

Spurs started slowly in the Champions League this season, but victory tonight would put them in a strong position to qualify.

It still remains to be seen whether Kane will start this evening, as he missed Spurs’s game at the weekend with illness.
