Stoke City fans have not had much, if anything, to smile about this season to date.
Last night was a miserable night for the club again as they were beaten by West Bromwich Albion at home.
For on loan Tottenham Hotspur talent Cameron Carter-Vickers, it might have been the worst game of his career.
Carter-Vickers has not made a good early impression at Stoke and for some fans last night was the last straw.
He gave away a penalty with a clumsy and unnecessary tackle to bring down West Ham loanee Grady Diangana.
Carter-Vickers escaped with a booking, and was fortunate not to be given a straight red.
The penalty gave West Brom a second goal, sealing a 2-0 win.
This is Carter-Vicker's fourth loan spell away from Tottenham and it is looking less and less likely that he has a future in North London.
Some Stoke fans want to see the back of the 21-year-old already, and were calling for him to be sent back to Tottenham.
Here is a look at the reaction to his challenge...
Cameron Carter-Vickers was a pointless deadline day panic signing who has done very little here beyond hindering Nathan Collins' development. Pass it on x— Jamie (@JChatfield94) November 4, 2019
That Carter-Vickers tackle was Sonko at Blackburn level . And Butland going the wrong way again . All you can do is laugh or you’d cry. Barnsley is absolutely massive. Just get Pulis in now tar— Tom Mckeon (@Mckeon92) November 4, 2019
Carter Vickers may aswell go back January absolute garbage not seen him have one decent game in a stoke shirt !— Dan Bloor (@bloordan) November 4, 2019
I tell you what seeing that Carter Vickers tackle this morning I'd be happy to see him never play for stoke again— Andrew Wray (@AWray7) November 4, 2019
Blimey, that might just be the dimmest tackle I've ever seen from Carter-Vickers.— Louie Chandler (@ChandlerLouie) November 4, 2019
Very lucky to still be on the pitch. #SCFC
Send Carter Vickers back— Oisín (@oisinbutler1999) November 4, 2019
