Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a January move for the nine-goal Huddersfield Town star.

Wolverhampton Wanderers could have a rival in their pursuit the Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claimed at the start of the week that Wolves are keen on a deal for Grant, who has scored nine goals in 15 Championship appearances this season and will cost in excess of £10 million.

And it now states that Bournemouth are ready to join their fellow Premier League side in trailing the 22-year-old, who is expected to attract January offers.

Grant has already showcased his top-flight credentials, having scored four goals in 13 appearances after joining from Charlton Athletic midway through last season.

On paper, Wolves could be the bigger draw for Grant, with Europa League football potentially on offer after Christmas.

But Bournemouth’s track record of acquiring and utilising top Championship talent to great effect – Josh King, Lewis Cook and David Brooks being prime examples – may stand them in good stead.

The Cherries recently signed Grant’s former teammate Philip Billing from Huddersfield.
