Leeds United could fall out of the automatic places on Monday night if fourth-placed West Bromwich Albion beat Stoke City tonight.
Leeds United fans on Twitter have hit back at Mark Warburton after he seemingly suggested that QPR could have got something from their 2-0 defeat at Elland Road on Saturday.
Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison scored for Leeds on either side of the half, as Marcelo Bielsa's men picked up a pretty comfortable three points.
But Warburton feels that had Jordan Hugill scored his headed chance in the second half, when the game was still 1-0, then it could have been a different game, and Elland Road would have gone 'quiet', as quoted by The Yorkshire Evening Post.
But the Leeds faithful took exception to his comments because they think that the London club didn't really create much from the game, other than through Eze.
They feel that Warburton needs to admit that his team were second best on the day, as they feel that it is sour grapes from the R's manager.
QPR just pipped Leeds to the possession stats during that game, as Leeds had 18 efforts on goal to QPR's six. The away team only forced Casilla to save one shot, as posted by BBC Sport.
At the time, Leeds ended up moving to the top of the Championship table, but they have since dropped into second place because Preston beat Charlton on Sunday.
Leeds can now move out of the automatic places on Monday night that's if fourth-placed West Brom can pick up all three points against Stoke City.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to Warburton's comments:
Wow 10 seconds of attempted greatness, sweetie you’re doing great— Ashleigh (@ashlaurenn_) November 2, 2019
Well done for nearly managing at attempt on target ?ﾟﾏﾼ— . (@robw123q) November 2, 2019
They looked organised, but only Eze looked like a threat, in the end he dropped deep to get some ball, and that summed them up— Michael East (@MichaelJohnEast) November 2, 2019
Ah yes, the 7 seconds in the game they looked a threat— Tank O'Saurus (@Tank_OSaurus) November 2, 2019
The one he barely got his head on ?— Robbo (@Ste_Robbo87) November 2, 2019
Simpler to just admit to being second best— MarkforeverLeeds (@MarkLawrence88) November 2, 2019
“It’s an expensively assembled team”. No it isn’t. It’s just been schooled by a genius. #lufc— Tom Mullen (@Tom_Mullen) November 2, 2019
He talks about fine margins (they had one chance that hugull missed) but what about our big chances also. They were never in the game in reality pic.twitter.com/i8k3i8uSxI— JWC?ﾟﾒﾛ (@TheJackyCalv) November 2, 2019
Bit of sour grapes there... ?— Nicky ?ﾟﾒﾛ (@reckoner29) November 2, 2019
I actually think he's quite a good coach. He just lets himself down when he is so sour after his team is clearly 2nd best.— 1919 - Bielsa ?ﾟﾒﾛ (@aclr1972) November 2, 2019
Can he say that again without crying ?— Mark Ramm (@LufcRammy) November 2, 2019
We”ll press you at home, We”ll press you away...— LeedsShirts.co.uk (@leedsshirts) November 2, 2019
Stop crying Mark Warburton
