Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers and Neil Lennon’s Celtic are in Scottish League Cup action this weekend.
Ibrox Stadium of Rangers
Chris Sutton has mocked a Rangers fan on Twitter by reminding him that Celtic have won the domestic treble for the past three seasons.
The former Celtic striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, made the response to a Rangers fan who was playing down the importance of the Scottish League Cup.
Both Rangers and Celtic are in action in the Scottish League Cup this weekend.
While Steven Gerrard’s side will take on Heart of Midlothian in the semi-finals of the competition on Sunday afternoon, Neil Lennon’s team will face Hibernian for a place in the final on Saturday evening.
No the first of the treble... Celtic have won the last 3 if you weren’t aware?? the Petroltank one was well celebrated... https://t.co/M2oxectg1Z

Celtic and Rangers are favourites
While Hibernian and Hearts are good teams, it is hard to see beyond a Celtic against Rangers final in the Scottish League Cup this season.
Both the Hoops and the Gers are in good form at the moment, and the players will be determined to reach the final of the competition this season.
