Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to be on the lookout for a defender following Willy Boly’s injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Lille’s Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes after losing Willy Boly to a long-term injury, according to The Mail.
Boly has been one of the first names on Nuno Espirito Santo since the start of 2017/18 but a broken ankle could rule him out for a number of months with Wolves, thanks to a rather tight-knit squad, short of options in reserve.
Max Kilman is completely unproven in the Premier League while Jesus Vallejo has looked out of his depth at times since joining on loan from Real Madrid, particularly during that 5-2 home defeat to Chelsea.
According to The Mail, Wolves could now turn to Gabriel in January, having watched the youngster yet again during Sunday’s 3-0 thrashing of Bordeaux. The 21-year-old is excellent in the air, possesses a good passing range, and has proven himself in a back three – meaning he looks like a defender ready to step into Boly’s place comfortably.

The Brazil U20 star won’t come cheap, however.
RMC Sport claimed in July that Serie A champions Juventus had a £22 million bid rejected, meaning Wolves will have to offer even more than that if they are to tempt Lille, who lost Nicolas Pepe, Thiago Mendes and Rafael Leao over the summer, to cash in.
