The former Leeds United midfielder had a rotten loan at Elland Road.
Leeds United fans didn't see much of Izzy Brown last season.
In fact, the Chelsea-owned midfielder managed only 11 minutes of Championship football under Marcelo Bielsa for the entire campaign.
Most of that was down to injury, but he was fit enough to make Leeds' match-day squad on 10 occasions during the second half of the season.
For whatever reason, Bielsa didn't fancy using him when he finally could and there wasn't many eyebrows raised when it was decided to send him back to the West London side.
However, it's now clear that Brown is a big asset in the Championship and his performances for Luton are proving as much.
So far, the 22-year-old has clocked more assists than any other player in the division and created 29 goalscoring chances. Mateusz Klich, with 32, is the only Leeds player to have created more opportunities.
Brown has clearly landed on his feet following his failure at Elland Road, and here's how fans of the West Yorkshire club have reacted to his form:
Decent player but I think Tyler Roberts & Eddie Nketiah are better players & also on our bench. You can’t always play every good player in your squad. #lufc— Tommy (@tommy_lufc) October 28, 2019
He was recovering from serious injury at Leeds and compounded that with further injuries, yet people said he was poor. It was obvious if he recovered he would still be a cracking player. Unfortunately he ran out of time to prove recovery with us.— Stu (@kUrGaN_UK) October 28, 2019
I always wondered what he was capable of...— ash (@schmucklevision) October 28, 2019
Probably because we got him fit last year— Andy Dent (@Thedentsmaster) October 28, 2019
Shame he wasn’t fit at Leeds would of been just what we needed this season quality player when fully fit— christian (@xtian1) October 28, 2019
He does take all set pieces corners free kicks— Jay ⚽ (@rodi_jason) October 28, 2019
