Rangers sneaked a 2-1 win against Motherwell at Ibrox today.

Rangers secured a late win over Motherwell this afternoon, but they had to work incredibly hard for their 2-1 victory.
The Gers saw Celtic hammer Aberdeen 4-0 earlier in the day, meaning the pressure was on Steven Gerrard’s men to follow suit.
Ibrox was stunned into silence though as Devante Cole put Motherwell in front, before Rangers captain James Tavernier failed from the penalty spot to continue the fears over his form.
Jermain Defoe did haul Rangers level before the break, but Gerrarrd’s men looked unconvincing throughout before Filip Helander bagged a late winner.
The result leaves Rangers second in the Scottish Premiership, but keeps them level on points with Celtic on 25, and just keeping pace with the Bhoys was key today.
There wasn’t much to rave about from the performance though, and a couple of players really didn’t impress the Ibrox faithful this afternoon.

One of those was midfielder Joe Aribo, who has shown flashes of his quality since signing from Charlton Athletic over the summer, but needs to put a real run of performances together.
Fans weren’t impressed today, suggesting that they need to see more from Aribo, as he’s too much of a luxury player as things stand, and simply isn’t offering enough right now.
Others called him ‘poor’ and felt the game passed him by, with an added belief that Gerrard should be playing him further forward to get the best out of him.
