Rangers fans are slating Brandon Barker's latest Ibrox performance

Rangers remain level on points with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership after claiming a late win over Motherwell this afternoon.

The Gers saw Celtic smash Aberdeen 4-0 earlier today, so they knew they had to win in order to keep pace with their Old Firm rivals at the top of the table.

However, they fell behind to Motherwell as Devante Cole opened the scoring, before James Tavernier failed from the penalty spot for Rangers.

 

Jermain Defoe pulled Rangers level before the break, but the Gers were frustrated for much of the second half until Filip Helander headed home the winner in the final 10 minutes.

That late goal takes Rangers onto 25 points, level with Celtic at the top in what was ultimately an unconvincing display from Steven Gerrard's side.

Some players really didn't impress today, and one of those was winger Brandon Barker, who actually went off injured before half time.

The 23-year-old summer signing from Manchester City showed some promise against Porto on Thursday night, but never really got going against Motherwell before being replaced by Ryan Kent.

Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter to criticise Barker, branding his display 'horrific' and 'rotten', as well as suggesting he's worse than fellow winger Sheyi Ojo.

Some still don't see what Barker adds to this Rangers side, and ultimately think he isn't of the required quality for Rangers, just a couple of months into his Gers career.
