Celtic beat Aberdeen 4-0 at Pittodrie this afternoon.

Celtic were in blistering form this afternoon as they hammered Aberdeen 4-0 at Pittodrie in a breathtaking performance.

Some may have forgiven the Bhoys for being a little exhausted from Thursday’s dramatic win over Lazio, but they were right at it today.

Odsonne Edouard and Jeremie Frimpong had Celtic 2-0 up inside 15 minutes, with Edouard teeing up teenager Frimpong for his first Bhoys goal.

A scintillating passing move saw James Forrest bag a third, before fellow winger Mohamed Elyounoussi made it 4-0 before half time.

Celtic took their foot off the gas in the second half and settled for 4-0, but Neil Lennon will have been absolutely delighted with his side’s display.

One of the key players once again was winger Elyounoussi, who has been recapturing his best form since joining Celtic on loan from Southampton in August.

The 25-year-old Norway international endured a difficult time at Southampton, but already has four goals and three assists in just eight appearances for Celtic.

Some Celtic fans have been raving about Elyounoussi’s display, suggesting that he is a ‘Rolls Royce’ player and ‘different class’, praising him for his impact at Parkhead.

Others simply told the club to make sure Elyounoussi is signed permanently in 2020, urging them to get the cheque book out as a deal for the wide man is a ‘no brainer’.
