Celtic and Rangers fans react to Scott McKenna display

Scott McKenna of Aberdeen scores the opening goal during the Scottish Ladbrokes Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on December 5, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Fans of Celtic and Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are viciously mocking the 22-year-old defender.

Celtic and Rangers fans don't agree on much.

Being Old Firm rivals, supporters from the two Glasgow giants very seldom see eye to eye on any subject.

But it's fair to say that Rangers and Celtic fans both agree on one thing: Scott McKenna is worth nowhere near the amount of money that his reported price-tag is.

The Aberdeen centre-back had a 45 minutes to forget today as the Hoops stormed into a 4-0 lead at the break at Pittodrie.

According to The Times, the 22-year-old defender is valued at around £7 million, a price-tag that Celtic and Rangers fans are blown away by due to his performance today.

Here's how the Parkhead and Ibrox faithful reacted to McKenna's display this afternoon:

Celtic were linked with him in the summer of 2018 and they must be happy not to have given into the Dons' £10 million demands at the time.

As for the Gers, they've never been linked, but Steven Gerrard has picked up some very strong centre-backs during his 18-month stint in Glasgow and McKenna probably wouldn't get a game for Rangers now.

Whether it's Kristoffer Ajer or Christopher Jullien, or Connor Goldson and Filip Helander, neither Old Firm club needs McKenna.
