Celtic will hope to put their away-day woes to bed in tomorrow's trip to Aberdeen.

Mohamed Elyounoussi is bracing himself for a physical test in Celtic's trip to Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon.

First, Celtic hit six past Ross County at Parkhead last weekend, before scoring a last-minute winner to beat Lazio 2-1 in a Europa League win in Glasgow on Thursday.

But the Hoops' away form is questionable right now after dropping five points in their last two Premiership clashes on the road - a defeat at Livingston and a draw at Hibernian.

 

Celtic's form on the road, coupled with the fact that trips to Aberdeen can get a bit spicy, makes tomorrow's clash a fascinating one and Elyounoussi - on loan from Southampton - admits that Bhoys team-mate Kristoffer Ajer has been giving him the lay of the land.

He told The Scottish Sun: "At Celtic, that is not acceptable and it’s something we have to remedy. We are going there to do our best to win the game.

"The Aberdeen game is as important as the Lazio one and I’m sure we can maintain the level. Kris Ajer has told me it can be a little bit tough up there, so I don’t know what I’m going into."

Elyounoussi, a £16 million signing by the Saints in 2018 [The Scotsman], is getting better all the time and even if tomorrow is a feisty affair with the Dons, he has the silk to negate any steel that comes his way.

The Norway international has been brilliant in the Europa League for Celtic and if he can match that, it'll go a long way toward helping Lennon's side to three points.
