Fraser Forster, on loan from Southampton, played well for Neil Lennon’s Celtic against Lazio.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Southampton-owned goalkeeper Fraser Forster against Lazio.

Forster, signed on loan from Southampton in the Premier League in England in the summer transfer window, was in action for Celtic in their Europa League Group E game against Lazio at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper could have probably done better for the goal that he conceded, but the former Newcastle United prospect made two brilliant saves later in the game to ascertain the three points for Neil Lennon’s team.

The win against Lazio means that Celtic are at the top of Europa League Group E at the moment with seven points from three matches, a point clear of second-placed CFR Cluj.

Celtic fans were impressed with the display produced by Forster – who joined Southampton from the Hoops in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10 million – and have praised him on Twitter.
