The Ibrox defender was in excellent form tonight for Rangers.
Rangers have picked up a crucial point away to Porto in the Europa League, drawing 1-1 in an exciting Thursday night tussle.
The Gers showed fantastic resilience to bounce back from going a goal behind in the first half.
Displaying their counter-attacking credentials, left-back Borna Barisic swung a beautiful ball in for Alfredo Morelos to smash home just before half-time, to the delight of travelling supporters.
Ultimately the away team couldn’t quite find their way to victory, but the point could be huge in terms of determining progression to the knockout stages of the competition.
The Ibrox side now sit on four points in Group G, two points behind leaders Young Boys.
Facing Porto in Glasgow on the next matchday, they now have a big chance to progress.
Barisic was a stand-out performer for Steven Gerrard’s side throughout. At times Porto didn’t look like they could deal with the deliveries he was putting into the box.
The improvement in the Croatian has been remarkable over the last few months. If he can keep these kind of performances up there’ll be no doubt he goes down as one of Gerrard’s best signings since arriving at the club.
These fans were delighted with his display, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Barisic showing again what a bit of backing and confidence can do for someone. Unreal delivery again.— aaron. (@RoseGardenNfse) October 24, 2019
Dunno what voodoo magic spell Barisic has cast on Tavernier to steal his form and confidence but it has worked— Graeme Cairns (@GraemeCairns) October 24, 2019
A confident Barisic now with a fit Kent could be the key to something very special.— THEBIGBLUEDUCK (@bigblueduck01) October 24, 2019

Imagine both our full backs were full of confidence like Barisic clearly is. We’d have so many good attacking options and really stretch teams.— Mharišić (@mmck90) October 24, 2019
