Tottenham Hotspur have shown a willingness to buy from the Football League recently.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that he has rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for an academy player from his side.
MacAnthony suggested that Posh had turned down a £2 million offer from a ‘top four’ Premier League side for one of his talented youngsters yesterday evening.
And when pushed further into asking whether it was Tottenham, MacAnthony responded with a hint suggesting that it was.
Spurs have shown a willingness to buy from the Football League before, with Dele Alli their biggest success story to date.
Tottenham have also plucked Kion Etete from Notts County to add to their development side, and he has coped well since making the move to Hotspur Way.
The player in question at Peterborough is more than likely to be Ricky Jade-Jones.
Jade-Jones is beginning to develop a real reputation for himself at Posh, and is regarded as a star of tomorrow.
The 16-year-old forward was recently given his senior debut for Peterborough in the EFL Cup, and he has also featured regularly at reserve level this term.
