Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to salvage a point for Leeds United at Preston.

The Whites had gone a goal down to Tom Barkhuizen's opener in the 74th minute, before manager Marcelo Bielsa frantically sent Nketiah on.

Leeds had been persisting with Patrick Bamford before then, fruitlessly.

Bamford was taken off, and Nketiah scored  with his one and only chance to earn Leeds a 1-1 draw.

The Arsenal forward, on loan at Leeds, sent a message to fans after the game, thanking them for their support.

Leeds fans had already been calling for Nketiah to start ahead of the game, and these calls are getting more and more vocal now.

The point was a hard earned one, and Leeds can take solace knowing they sit in second place in the Championship, just two points off leaders West Bromwich Albion.

Next up is a big test away at Garry Monk's Sheffield Wednesday.
