Alioski started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and Bielsa was pleased with the display produced by the 27-year-old North Macedonia international, who can operate as a winger or as a left-back.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Alioski after the match: “He played with a lot of energy. He defended a lot and attacked a lot as well. And after the link well the attack and the defence.
“He has played a great match against Poland and he took a long time to play like that. Today, he repeated a great performance of the match he played against Poland.”
Alioski does not always have the end product, but one thing that he can never be accused of is not working hard and giving his all on the pitch.
The 27-year-old could have etched his name on the scoresheet against Birmingham and got into some very good positions, but the final ball was always lacking.
According to WhoScored, the North Macedonia international took five shots of which two were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 82.4%, took 69 touches, and made three tackles and one clearance.
