Tottenham Hotspur’s poor form has been blamed on tiredness from training by some media publications.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has laughed off suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino is working the team too hard in training at his latest press conference, as reported on by Football London.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Spurs’s players are tired from the demands of Pochettino’s training programme, and that is contributing to their poor form.

But Kane insists that Tottenham are working at the same level as they have before.

And when the question was pitched to Kane about whether training was making the Spurs squad tired, he could not help but chuckle.

“(Laughs) There’s going to be speculation when things aren’t going well,” he said.

“We’ve been working hard since the manager came here and it would be wrong for us to do more or less than we’ve always done.”

Kane may have laughed off the rumour that training was the cause of Tottenham’s poor form, but getting to the bottom of the issue will be the first thing on Pochettino’s mind.

Tottenham have been in woeful form in recent weeks, and their performance at the weekend was alarming.

Tottenham failed to beat bottom of the league Watford, as they had to fight back to earn a point.

Spurs are next in action tomorrow against Red Star Belgrade, and failure to win would leave their Champions League qualification hopes hanging by a thread.
