Tottenham Hotspur's poor form continued on Saturday when they recorded a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-table Watford.
Tottenham fans were raging after Mauricio Pochettino claimed that the atmosphere at home is not helping his players.
It was another lacklustre performance from Spurs on Saturday when they failed to beat winless Watford at Tottenham Hotspur's stadium.
After the game, Pochettino stated that the atmosphere isn't one you would 'love to play' in, but he did 'understand' why the mood around the place was like that, as quoted by Football London.
However, his comments didn't sit well with an already frustrated Spurs fanbase, who believe their manager is trying to find an excuse from wherever he can.
It is understandable why the atmosphere may be a little toxic because performances and results haven't been up to scratch.
The fans, the club, the manager and the players need a lift, and it seems as though a big win or a seriously good run of form will only change that.
Whilst it seems as though Spurs players are struggling to cope with the current atmosphere at home, they will be tested again on Tuesday night.
Spurs host Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League, and after that performance against Bayern Munich last time out, the fans will want a response.
It is a very tricky fixture for Spurs because they will be expected to win, and dare it be said, win in a comfortable fashion.
But, they simply aren't in a run of form to eke out a strong performance on the night, though something like that would be of major help.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Pochettino's comments about the atmosphere around the stadium:
Disgusting for him to say that. Fans react to what they see on the pitch. They don't go wanting to boo or groan.— Mark (@MarkTHFC92) October 19, 2019
Fans paid £50 minimum for their seats today and have every right to be vocal against players and a Manager that think they are too big for the club and want to play elsewhere. Why on earth would anyone support and encourage that???— Warren Palmer (@WarrenAPalmer) October 19, 2019

This guys a joke seriously. If it's not the transfer window, It's the referee, If it's not the referee it's the players, If it's now the players it's now the fans— Darryl Cullip (@D_Cullip32) October 19, 2019
Poch is the one at fault. He decided to bench Son and play 5 defenders against a team who haven't won a lg game

Start giving us fans paying good money entertaining football with some desire and we will get louder, but watching this dross again today we are all fed up with it, there is nothing to cheer for or be excited about the future is looking bleek— Phil (@CustomThat) October 19, 2019
