Reading playmaker Ovie Ejaria impressed against Preston.

Reading claimed a first win under new boss Mark Bowen by beating Preston North End 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Royals sacked Jose Gomes over the international break, and made the bizarre decision to appoint sporting director Bowen as their new boss.
Preston arrived in great form with no defeat in eight games, but a pretty drab display was heading towards a 0-0 draw before Reading struck late on.
Declan Rudd could only parry Jordan Obita's strike, and then couldn't keep out Matt Miazga's follow-up, handing Reading a 97th minute winner.
The result takes Reading up to 20th in the Championship table, and whilst Miazga was their match-winner, all the praise was going towards playmaker Ovie Ejaria.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Reading from Liverpool, but as confirmed by Liverpool, the deal will become permanent at the end of the season, meaning he won't be heading back to Anfield.

Some may wonder whether Liverpool may come to regret that decision though, as Ejaria is really shining for Reading, and their fans were raving about him on Saturday.
Supporters were calling Ejaria 'pure class', 'next level' and a 'special talent', with many of them simply in disbelief that Liverpool are letting him leave permanently in 2020.
I honestly think ejaria is the best player in the championship no joke

Your MOTM from yesterday’s win is Ovie Ejaria! With his superb footwork he was a handful for Preston who couldn’t handle him. Was on a different level yesterday, huge signing and prospect we have on our hands. #readingfc pic.twitter.com/dSSuL3EEWZ

Ovie Ejaria- what a guy, what a special talent the man is. You can tell he’s just like playing in the playground. He’s got freedom to do whatever he likes. The ball just seems to stick to his feet and glides across the ground. 3 million is outrageous for him! #Readingfc

Ovie Ejaria is absolutely incredible to watch - the way the ball just sticks to his feet is ridiculous, had them on strings all afternoon. Baller #readingfc

One positive (again) for #ReadingFC today was Ovie Ejaria. He’s just next level to any other player on the pitch, we just don’t utilise him enough.
