Marcelo Bielsa appears to have confirmed a new injury for Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez.
Prior to Saturday's 1-0 win over Birmingham City, the Spanish playmaker had sat out Leeds' last three Championship games with a muscle injury.
The 34-year-old made his comeback in an Under-23 game during the week and was expected to be included in Bielsa's squad for yesterday's visit of the Blues at Elland Road.
However, the United boss omitted him and revealed via Leeds Live afterwards that Hernandez may now have a hamstring injury. Bielsa said: "He didn’t have any problem with the previous injury, but after he feels something in the back of his leg. In the hamstring.”
Hernandez is arguably the Whites' best player, the one that makes them tick, and here's how fans of the Yorkshire club reacted to the idea that he has suffered another injury blow.

If he’s got a new lower leg he might be out for a while :(— Jo Berridge (@lufcjoberridge) October 19, 2019
At his age, the former Swansea City star, who has two caps for Spain, was always going to struggle with the physical demands that Bielsa applies in training.
When he is 100 percent fit, it might be smart for the Leeds boss to give him a reduced work load.
Hernandez has the talent to inspire the club back to the Premier League, but not if he's injured most of the season.
It remains to be seen how long the veteran - voted into the Championship Team of the Year last season - is missing for this time.
