Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Serge Aurier against Watford.

Aurier was in action for Tottenham in their Premier League game against Watford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Ivory Coast international right-back started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the North London outfit played out a 1-1 draw with the visiting team.

The right-back was at fault for Watford’s goal, struggled defensively and could not deliver good crosses, but he did make one good block.

According to WhoScored, the former Paris Saint-Germain man took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 81.1%, won seven headers, took 89 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles and one clearance.

Tottenham fans were not impressed with the display produced by Aurier and have criticised him on Twitter.

Disappointing result

Watford are a good team, but playing at home did give Tottenham an advantage against the Hornets.

The performance of the Spurs players against Watford on Saturday afternoon were far from great, and other than Son Heung-min, the players were pretty disappointing.

Tottenham are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but results such as the one against Watford on Saturday are not great in their quest to finish in the top four yet again.
