Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos could feature for Unai Emery’s side on Monday evening, but he struggled over the international break.
Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has been criticised after his latest display for Spain in Euro 2020 qualifying.
Spain drew 1-1 with Sweden last night, with Arsenal’s Ceballos picked to start.
But the Gunners loanee struggled to have much of an impact on the match, as his nation failed to play to their potential.
Spain relied on an injury time equaliser from Rodrigo to rescue a point against Sweden.
And Arsenal playmaker Ceballos came under wide-spread criticism for his display.
The streets saying another Ceballos disasterclass. Water is wet— Michigan (@sppavos) October 15, 2019
Apparently ceballos was stinking up the place. Not surprised— Eskimo Franchy⛓ (@EskimoFranchy) October 15, 2019
lol Ceballos is so overrated. Can’t believe he’s in the Spain team.— Cool Breeze (@deweydimbabwe) October 15, 2019
Kristoffer Olsson outperformed Ceballos tonight. Created more and was more involved in play in a team with 25% of the ball.— Alex Sätre (@Satreeee) October 15, 2019
Some of you on here said ceballos was better than MESUT ÖZIL. I hate arsenal Twitter so much— Flacko (@Seyyii_) October 15, 2019
Good to see Özil has been teaching Ceballos his ways while he is at Arsenal. Utterly ineffective v Sweden. #AFC— Stephen (@SteSweden) October 15, 2019
Ceballos with yet another disasterclass. Clueless against our awful National team Norway, disastrous against Sweden.— afcRubz (@afcViking) October 15, 2019
Ceballos is really bad/lazy in defence. Can’t keep up with 33yo Lustig and decides to pull his arm. Ceballos is already booked— Alex Sätre (@Satreeee) October 15, 2019
Ceballos made a bright start at Arsenal, but his form has slowed slightly more recently.
The creator has often been forced to start from the bench by Arsenal, with his place in Unai Emery’s side still not fully cemented.
Ceballos could next be in action for Arsenal, when they take on Sheffield United on Monday evening.
