Leeds United supporters on Twiter have provided a mixed reaction to rumours that Brighton are not looking to sell Ben White on a permanent basis.
The Argus have claimed that Brighton have not been aware of any interest in White and have no intentions of parting ways with a player who is thriving at Leeds.
In the summer, following the departure of Pontus Jansson, Leeds turned to centre-back White, and despite having to fill such big shoes, he has fitted in like a glove at the Yorkshire club.
He is now a key figure at the back and is very important to Leeds' chances of earning promotion to the Premier League this season.
Despite rumours that Brighton are keen to sell White, Leeds fans think that 'money talks' in these sorts of situations, whilst others understand that them earning promotion to England's top-flight is paramount.
Leeds fans are fully aware that if Marcelo Bielsa can guide them back to the promised land then their chances of signing White would increase.
Since moving to Elland Road, White has showcased his calmness, ability to bring the ball out from the back and sense danger.
Despite Bielsa being so demanding, he hasn't struggled to match those demands and it isn't a surprise that he has become a bit of a fan favourite amongst supporters.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans on Twitter reacting to those White rumours:
Money talks— Matt Hill (@MattyHill83) October 15, 2019
White's future is out of our hands, tbh. We cannot afford £20m.— SYED MOHAMED (@smsj44) October 15, 2019
If however we get Eddie to start, then he may stay with us not only this season but also the next, unless the striker hierarchy at Arsenal changes drastically between now and next summer.
We need to go up, you can't tell me he'd rather play for Brighton above leeds in the Prem ♂— mightywhite92 (@mightywhite83) October 15, 2019
Money talks though.— Ash of the north (@ashlufc4) October 15, 2019
Best if we get promoted and they get relegated then, might change his mind— Graham Burn (@Graham0411) October 16, 2019
We haven't got a chance of signing him permanently, why do people think this?— Dan Drake (@Drakey21587) October 15, 2019
Hes English, calm on the ball, ball playing CB, the top 6 are crying out for that kind of player, failing that Leicester, Southampton, Everton etc.
We won't see the guy again, regardless of promotion.
Telling you this now, smash it in the PL— Stephen Walker (@stewalker82) October 15, 2019
Money talks. Big bid in January and he's off. Make no mistake— MikeyBB (@MikeyBB12) October 15, 2019
