Arsenal spent big on one winger over the summer by signing Nicolas Pepe, but they could still look to land another when the January transfer window opens.

The Gunners have used young talents like Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson this season, but with Henrikh Mkhitaryan farmed off to Roma, another wide man may be wanted.

If Arsenal do go for another winger, it certainly won't be for anywhere near the price paid for Pepe, and one target appears to be emerging over in Greece.

Sportime report that Arsenal have been looking at Olympiacos winger Daniel Podence, having seen him torment Tottenham Hotspur in a recent Champions League clash.

Podence hit eight goals and nine assists for Olympiacos last season having joined after ripping up his Sporting contract, and he's currently on two goals and one assist this term.

The Portuguese attacker, who stands at just 5ft 4in tall, has bags of pace and showed that he can cause problems for Premier League players with that superb display against Spurs.

Olympiacos would allegedly want £21.5million for Podence, and with another mystery English club believed to be keen, there could be a real battle on for Podence's signature in 2020.

Now, Arsenal fans are reacting on Twitter to the rumour, and some believe that Podence is like former Chelsea star Eden Hazard, urging the club to do a deal for such an 'elite' and 'incredible' talent.

Others aren't so convinced, believing that he isn't Arsenal quality and the likes of Saka and Nelson should be trusted rather than bringing in another attacker ahead of them.
