Michel Vorm returned to Tottenham.
Michel Vorm clinched a return to Tottenham Hotspur this week as cover for injured goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham announced that Vorm has signed a deal to last until the end of the season.
Vorm had a very short message for Tottenham fans on social media.
This was a very different message to the one Vorm sent out after his contract expired at the end of June.
Vorm wished Spurs all the best and backed them for great success.
He will not have foreseen either his or Tottenham's future paths playing out like this,
I’m so proud to have been part of this club and seen it grow. There is so much more to come, the sky is the limit. Special thanks to Toni Jimenez, the goalkeeper coach thanks for everything. Been a real pleasure to work with you #COYS pic.twitter.com/bPsn6nmib3— Michel Vorm (@Vorm_Official) June 7, 2019
Vorm will just be a back up for current first choice Paulo Gazzaniga, but with Lloris ruled out until 2020, he could be needed.
It is a stroke of luck that the Dutchman remained a free agent, and very much a surprise. Now he has to make sure he is ready if he is needed.
