Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has been linked with a move to AC Milan.

Arsenal fans are keen to see the back of Mohamed Elneny after Gazetta in Italy suggested that AC Milan are eager to sign him in January.

Elneny has been loaned out by Arsenal to Besiktas this season, but Milan are keen to cut that move short.

The Italian side reportedly want to sign the Gunners man on a permanent deal for £13 million.

And it is fair to say that Arsenal supporters are hoping that Elneny, who is on a £50,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), does leave permanently in the new year.

Elneny appears to have no future at Arsenal under Unai Emery, with other options favoured.

The 27-year-old has been with Arsenal for three years now, but has rarely been anything more than a back-up option.

Elneny just doesn’t seem to have the quality required to make the grade as a permanent starter at Arsenal, and it now seems best that he does move on.

Since moving to Besiktas, Elneny has made just three appearances during his loan spell with the Turkish side.
