Argentina have a lot of faith in Tottenham Hotspur prospect Juan Foyth.

He started their second game in a week when he lined up against Ecuador on Sunday.

Argentina won the game 6-1, but Foyth could not be totally satisfied with the result.

It was his error which cost Argentina the clean sheet.

Shortly after half-time, he made a weak headed backpass, with Argentine outlet Bola VIP describing it as a ‘miscalculation’.

Angel Mena nipped in to score Ecuador’s goal, which at the time made the score 3-1.

The mistake showed that Foyth is still a raw talent, one who at the moment has quite possibly been over promoted by Argentina.

He was playing at right-back, a position he hopes to solve for his club.

Tottenham can’t afford for him to make any similar mistakes, and hopefully for their sake he can learn from it and do better if gets a Premier League opportunity.
