According to Spanish newspaper AS, Barcelona are joining the race to sign Arsenal target Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven.
Malen, 20, was in the Arsenal ranks having arrived from Ajax in 2015, but he failed to break through under Arsene Wenger.
In 2017, Malen decided to return to the Netherlands by joining PSV, with Arsenal allowing him to leave for a ridiculously low price of £500,000.
Now, Dutch international Malen is thriving for PSV, smashing 16 goals and six assists in 18 games so far this season as well as 11 goals and five assists last term.
Malen is now attracting major interest, with The Mirror claiming Arsenal want him back for £50million, just over two years since that £500,000 sale.
Unfortunately, Arsenal now face a battle, as AS claim that Barcelona have now added Malen to their wish list as a possible heir to Luis Suarez in their attack.
Barca have a host of young attackers on their wish list to succeed Suarez, but Arsenal will be disappointed to hear that one of Europe's biggest clubs is now positioning themselves for a move.
Arsenal will still hope to lure Malen back to the Emirates Stadium, but having made that move away from the Gunners to PSV, their chances of luring him back may be slim.
