West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has become the latest player to lavish praise upon Slaven Bilic, praising the Baggies boss for giving the squad "so much confidence" and admitting that "everyone loves coming in to training every day".
It's been a great start to the Championship season so far for West Brom, with victories in six of their opening 11 league games and just one defeat, culminating in The Hawthorns side sitting at the summit going into the international break.
After Matheus Pereira described Bilic as "the man" and Charlie Austin hailed the summer arrival as "the real deal", Johnstone also gave his opinion of his new manager, in conversation with the WBA website.
The £6.5million signing from Manchester United (BBC Sport) insists that Bilic has the full respect of all the players and staff, something which is clearly evident on the pitch as per the great performances and results.
"I think I speak for all the players when I say Slaven gives us so much confidence," the goalkeeper said of the Championship Manager of the Month candidate. "Everyone loves coming in to training every day because we all enjoy working under a manager who believes in us and gives us the confidence to go out and perform at our best.
"He has a really clear way of speaking to all the players. You can tell that when he is trying to give us a message or an instruction in training or before games, he has the full attention of everyone in the room. He trusts you with everything. To give 100 percent effort in training and games and to also look after yourself properly away from football. All the lads are buying into what he is trying to do here and that’s definitely helping us on the pitch."
Up next for West Brom is their Championship trip to Middlesbrough when the league resumes next week.
