Arsenal are reportedly interested in Lukas Klostermann of RB Leipzig.

RB Leipzig sporting director sporting director Markus Krosche has told Bild that the club plan to extend Lukas Klostermann’s current contract amid reported interest from Arsenal.

Fussball Transfers has claimed that Arsenal are interested in securing the services of Klostermann from Leipzig.

The report has also claimed of interest in the 23-year-old right-back from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Leipzig sporting director Krosche has said that the German club plan to extend the Germany international defender’s current contract which runs until 2021.

Krosche told Bild: “We have said that we would like to extend Lukas Klostermann’s contract, and we are in talks.

“But we don’t feel any pressure. It’s important for me that you talk to the boys early enough for them to have enough time to think about it.”

Good signing for Arsenal

Klostermann is a very good and promising young right-back who has been a regular for Leipzig for a number of years now.

The 23-year-old is still developing and progressing, and he is ready to take the next step in his career and make the switch to Arsenal.

According to WhoScored, the right-back – who is valued at €30 million (£26.18m) by the CIES Football Observatory –  has made six appearances in the Bundesliga and has played 97 minutes in the Champions League for Leipzig so far this season.
