Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in the Tottenham Hotspur managerial role.

Dimitar Berbatov has suggested that he does not want Jose Mourinho to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted in The Sun.

According to The Daily Mail, former Manchester United and Real Madrid manager Mourinho is interested in the Tottenham managerial role.

It has been reported that Spurs appeal to the Portuguese boss, who is without a managerial job at the moment.

Former Tottenham striker Berbatov has suggested that the North London outfit should stick with Mauricio Pochettino and should not go for Mourinho.

The Sun quotes Berbatov as saying: “Pochettinho is the guy that needs to stay there, he’s been there for a long time.

“There has been a lot of talk about Mourinho taking over at Spurs, I think he would have difficulty as well. Would he make Spurs better? I don’t know because it is the same team.”

Mauricio Pochettino stay at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are going through a bad period at the moment, with the team struggling in the Premier League and in the Champions League.

However, making a managerial change right now is not going to help Spurs, as it will still be the same team.

Moreover, it is still only October, and under Pochettino, Tottenham have shown time and again that they can bounce back from setbacks.

Spurs can still finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and progress to the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
