Alderweireld was in action for Belgium in their Euro 2020 qualifier against San Marino at home.
The Spurs central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and he scored in the 43rd minute.
The 30-year-old has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Belgium, and some Tottenham fans have responded to his message.

Alderweireld is one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and is a key figure at Tottenham.
Spurs have not been playing well so far this season, and it is important that the North London outfit put together a run of positive results after the international break.
It is very unlikely that Mauricio Pochettino will be able to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but they can certainly end up in the top four yet again.
Spurs also have a chance of going through to the knockout round of the Champions League this campaign.
